Conference History
Since its first edition in 2008, ENERGY DAY has gained a growing interest, both at national and international level. Over the years, the event led to important developments and transformations of the Romanian energy sector, including solutions and proposals aimed to create a better national legal and business environment.
2009 - Biomass Energy Day
Energy Day 2009 has provided a comprehensive overview on universities researches and technological development in energy sector, focused on biogas plants, biomass power plants, replacement fuels and wind energy.
2010 - Energo-autarhe Day
The 2010 conference focused on the foundations of the first network of energy-autarchic communities and the quality of wind farm construction in Romania. The debate elucidated the quality requirements for wind measurements.
2011 - Renewable Sources
The 2011 conference brought to the table the Law 220, concerning investments in wind and solar energy production. With the help of this law, investments started successful.
2012 - Renewable Energy Plants
2012 conference debated the application of the 20/20/20 EU strategy, the development of the renewable energy production capacity up to this point and of the projected development, the operation of the renewable energy plants. Also, it presented the odds for the strength of EU support for 2014-2020: energy efficiency.
2013 - Energy Consumption Reduction
The 6th Energy Day Brasov consisted of three topics such as a review on energy legislation in Romania, techniques of how to operate renewable energy production and how to reduce energy consumption in Romania.
2014 - Green Energy Day
Energy Day Brasov in 2014 focused on the legal changes and the actual/future impact on investments in green energy. It debated best practices in production of green energy in Romanian plants.
2015 - Energy Strategy Development
In 2015, the eighth edition of Energy Day Brasov, leaders of Romanian electrical energy production joined the round table and debated the development of a future strategy regarding energy.
2016 - Energiewende
The conference debated the Romanian as well as German ENERGIEWENDE (energetic revolution) and the future energy strategy for Romania. It also gave insights on developments in Germany especially on virtual power plants and related research.
2018 - Future Energy Day
REPOM dedicated the 10th edition of Energy Day Brasov to the future development of the energy market based on the European Union’s vision of the Energy Union and EU’s 2030 and 2050 energy goals. The conference also focused on the future of Energy 4.0, a concept used to describe the digital revolution in this industry.
2019 - Clean Energy Day
Energy Day 2019 debated the way the new EU regulations shape the energy sector and consumer behaviour in the following years. Also, how will these regulations be translated from European to Romanian law and how does the Romanian national energy and climate plan fits into the European framework.
2021 - Green energy's future: financing and implementation
Energy Day Brașov, 12th edition, was all about the European Green Deal, the Fit for 55 Package, prosumers in Romania, how to adopt and finance these objectives in the EU and Romania, what are the plans abroad, what technologies exist and are feasible and what is being developed in renewable energy sector.
