Brașov Energy Day, the most important conference dedicated to renewable energy from Romania
September 10, 2021, Hotel Belvedere Brașov
The 12th edition of the Brașov Energy Day conference, a reference event for the renewables sector, will take place this year on September 10, 2021, at the Belvedere Brașov Hotel.
REPOM, a company working in the field of operation and management of renewable energy installations, continues the tradition and organizes the Brașov Energy Day, one of the most important specialized events in Romania.
The theme of the event is of maximum relevance and interest for the over 200 participants we are waiting for at the conference debates. The European Union created the concept of the European Green Pact, it initiated the Fit for 55 project part of the Pact and, starting with July 2021, it regulated the obligation to implement the Prosumers Directive in all European Union countries. All of these set ambitious targets for Europe in terms of reducing carbon emissions. Thus, the event organized by REPOM aims to bring together leaders of the European energy community to discuss the measures they consider necessary to achieve these goals.
This year’s Brașov Energy Day will focus on the following topics:
- European Green Pact, Fit for 55 package, Prosumatori
- How are these objectives adopted and financed in the EU and Romania?
- What are the plans outside the borders?
- What technologies exist and are feasible and what is being developed?
Mr. Dan Drăgan and Mr. George Niculescu, Secretaries of State in the Ministry of Energy, confirmed to participate in our event. Mr. Zoltan Nagy-Bege, Romanian Energy Regulatory Authority Vice-President, confirmed his participation in this year’s edition and will present the ways in which the objectives of the Romanian Government can be implemented in the context of the European Green Pact and the new directions set by the Fit for 55 package. We will be joined by Mrs. Barbara Saerbeck, a member of AGORA Energiewende, a group of independent experts dedicated to climate and energy goals set by the European and German political environment. Mr. Julian Popov, member of the Climate-KIC Advisory Council, will strengthen the European perspective on achieving the goals set by the European Green Pact.
Mrs. Amalia Stamate, Senior Economist at the National Bank of Romania, will present information and guidance on support for renewable energy financing projects. What changes we will face in remodeling the renewable energy market with the Fit for 55 package we will discuss at length with Mr. Viorel Lefter, President of The Renewable Energy Producers Organization in Romania.
Mrs. Flavia Boghiu, Deputy Mayor of Brașov and Mr. Silviu Costea, President of the Brașov Chamber of Commerce and Industry will be present to this year’s edition. We are also waiting for confirmations from other Speakers that will be with us at the three debate sessions of the conference.
At this year’s edition, there will be three categories of participants:
- 50% of stakeholders in the Romanian and European energy sector (mainly investors);
- 25% of Romanian politics, academia and administration;
- 25% of “others”, people from national and international industry and academia interested in this topic.
The conference will be translated simultaneously into English and Romanian. Participation is free.
